How it works
What is PouncePrice?
PouncePrice is a price tracking platform for hunting gear, fly fishing gear, and outdoor apparel. It monitors prices across 20retailers daily and notifies users when a product they're watching drops to their target price.
Think of it like CamelCamelCamel, but built specifically for the outdoor and hunting market — tracking brands like KUIU, Sitka, First Lite, Simms Fishing, Patagonia, and Brownells instead of general consumer electronics.
How price tracking works
- Scrapers check each retailer's catalog once per day at 06:00 UTC
- Only price changes are recorded (delta-only storage) — the history stays clean and shows exactly when prices moved
- Products must be priced at $50 or above to be tracked — this filters out accessories and consumables that don't benefit from price tracking
- Price history goes back to the date each retailer was added to PouncePrice
How price alerts work
- Create a free account and set a target price for any tracked product
- Each morning after the daily scrape, PouncePrice checks all active alerts
- When a product's price meets or drops below your target, you receive an email with a direct link to buy
- Free for all users — no subscription, no paid tier
Cash back (coming soon)
PouncePrice earns affiliate commissions when users click through to a retailer and make a purchase. A cash back program is in development: a portion of those commissions will be paid back to users quarterly via PayPal. All users will be eligible — there is no paid tier required.

PouncePrice currently tracks 20 retailers across two main categories:
- Hunting apparel and gear — KUIU, First Lite, Sitka, Kifaru, Badlands, Beyond Clothing, Kryptek, Mystery Ranch, Skre Gear, Forloh, Born Primitive, Kings Camo, Primos, Stone Glacier, Outdoor Vitals, Brownells
- Fly fishing — Duck Camp, Simms Fishing, Grundens, Patagonia
